Hello chaps,

This is the first recon report and is purely my opinion, i'm sure Lee and Roland will throw in their observations.

The drive up was largely uneventful and the directions provided were good. The morning was bitterly cold (as you at Dover know) but there was a hots drinks van on scene and providing bacon rolls, tea etc. The chaps there were friendly and we were assigned as Red team. Each player gets a yellow gun sock for when he is dead. The safety briefing was pretty normal and everyones gun is chrono'ed. The upper absolute limit is 328fps - no 10% rule.

The site is absolutely huge!!!! largely H-block type barracks with plenty of open ground between interspaced with large potato boxes as cover and sporting two eastern block tanks/A.P.C.s.

The games briefings were fine and the games interesting. The massive layout of buildings means that you can easily lose 100+ gamers. It's sniper heaven and the crossfire can be murderous. Once in the buildings its pure C.Q.B. and aggression is a telling factor in winning or losing. The marshalling is very good and i only had one minor incident where I disagreed with another player as to whether he was hit or not (in all fairness I nailed him on a full dump pouch and i genuinely dont think he felt it) and the marshall was right there if needed.

This is a damn fine site and i think the Sea Devils and Pheonix should hit in force. I know Roland and Lee had one very fine game where they were knocking off the enemy at a great rate of knots and were moving from window to window. My crowning point was where I cleared a room and found a blue player in a walk-in closet. He fired and missed, I fired and didn't.

One great game site, easily as enjoyable as any urban site i've been to and inexpensive at £20 per day.
